Welcome to the website of the Land of Lincoln Water Gardening Society, Springfield, Illinois, U.S.A.

 

This is our major fundraiser. Money raised from this sale will be used to defray expenses of the Land of Lincoln Water Gardening Society. There are two ways you may help us accomplish this goal.

1. Donations – you can donate pond or gardening items for the sale. When the item is sold, the money will go directly to the LLWGS treasury.
2. Consignment – bring items you’d like to sell and receive a portion of the sale price. Any item that you bring that is sold will contribute 15% of the sale to the LLWGS treasury. You will take home 85% of the sale.

The sale will begin at 10:30 a.m. We will be able to set up beginning at 9:30 a.m. Please plan to bring your items at 9:30 a.m. sharp. If you want to price the items you are donating, please do so or we will price them that morning. The items that you want to sell on consignment must be priced on a tag that can be removed. Be sure to put your last name and phone number on the tag so the society can record the sale in your name.

All unsold items will be available to be picked up after the sale at 12:30 p.m. sharp. Any items not picked up will be disposed of or given away.

This is a good opportunity to get rid of some things you no longer need. So look around for any useable gardening items or items related to our hobby that still have life left in them and bring them to our sale. Here are some of the items already donated: fish food, water lilies, other plants, garden accents and novelties, pre-formed ponds and artistic items such as water garden themed greeting cards made by our members.

Help make this a success. Tell your friends and neighbors, print out a sale flyer (listed on the website under special events) and post it at a business that you frequent.
